Drug interactions
Reduces absorption of levodopa, levothyroxine, quinolone antibiotics. Calcium and PPIs reduce iron absorption. Vitamin C enhances absorption.

RDA during pregnancy is 27 mg (highest of any life stage); lactation 9 mg (10 mg for adolescents).
