PlainVitamins protects your privacy while you research supplement and vitamin product data. Our analytics run on Umami, a tool designed specifically to operate without cookies and without collecting any identifying information about the people who visit. The only data we see is in aggregate, total page views, general referral sources, and broad categories of devices accessing the site.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

PlainVitamins does not set first-party cookies. However, third-party services used on this site may set cookies:

• Journey by Mediavine uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Mediavine and its partners may serve ads based on your browsing patterns.
• Cloudflare may set security cookies (e.g., __cf_bm) to distinguish humans from bots.
• Google Analytics (GA4) uses cookies to measure website traffic and usage patterns. Data is processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policy.

Your browser's light/dark theme preference is stored in localStorage, which never leaves your device.

If you use My watchlist, a localStorage item (plainvitamins:saved) stores the brand, ingredient, and supplement slugs you chose. It never leaves your browser, is not an account, and is not used for advertising. You can clear it from the watchlist page.

Advertising

We display advertisements through Journey by Mediavine. Mediavine and its advertising partners may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Data Sources

All data displayed on this site comes from publicly available supplement data from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD). No private or proprietary data is used. No personally identifiable information from these datasets is stored or displayed.

Editorial Independence

Content on PlainVitamins is compiled by our editorial process: raw label data from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD) is transformed into readable product, brand, and ingredient profiles, validated against the source before publication. The PlainVitamins is responsible for editorial standards and corrections.

We do not accept payment, sponsorship, or promoted placement from supplement manufacturers, brands, retailers, or distributors. Our only revenue source is contextual display advertising served by Journey by Mediavine, advertisers do not influence which products we catalog, which brands we list, or how we present label data, and they do not receive preferential placement in rankings, ingredient pages, or comparisons.
