Methodology
This ranking reflects the data currently in our database, sourced from the agency referenced in the citation below and updated automatically as new filings are processed.
Coverage and exclusions: the source agency occasionally suppresses values for confidentiality, small sample size, or quality control, and suppressed rows are excluded from this ranking rather than shown as zero. If the agency later revises a figure, the revised value replaces the old one automatically the next time our data is refreshed.

What this analysis cannot tell us
Ingredient frequency reflects how often a named ingredient appears across distinct supplement products in the DSLD, not how much of the ingredient any product contains. The top of the list is dominated by excipients, cellulose, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, that serve as fillers, anti-caking agents, or flow agents rather than nutritional actives. Excipient ubiquity is a feature of tablet and capsule manufacturing rather than a reflection of supplement formulation intent; a multivitamin and a specialty botanical product can both list cellulose without sharing any active-ingredient overlap. Synonymic ingredient names are consolidated into normalized groups (different chemical forms of the same active are grouped under the parent compound), but normalization is not exhaustive, closely-related botanical extracts may appear under distinct group names. Daily-value percentages are not aggregated at the group level, so a high frequency count does not in itself indicate clinical adequacy of intake. The DSLD does not measure third-party purity testing, organic certification, or manufacturing-quality certification (NSF, USP); those quality signals live in separate certification registries.
