What is in Diatrol?
Each row as the label prints it, per serving of 6 capsules. The capsule beside an amount places it among every product in the NIH database that lists the same ingredient: the bar is the middle half of their amounts, the line in it the median, the whiskers the 10th and 90th percentiles; the green tick is the FDA Daily Value and the red dashed tick the adult upper limit (IOM).
| Ingredient | Amount | % DV | Among products listing it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chromiumas Chromium Polynicotinate | 1,000 mcg | 2,857%* | Higher than 98% of 7,825 products listing chromium (median 100 mcg). Per day at the most servings: 2,000 mcg. |
| Proprietary Sugar Balance Complex | 1,100 mg | ||
| Gymnema sylvestre leaf powder | in the blend, no amount given | ||
| Cinnamon bark powder | in the blend, no amount given | ||
| Cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia) bark extract | in the blend, no amount given | ||
| Hydroxycitric Acidas Garcinia cambogiaHydroxycitric Acid (Form: from Garcinia cambogia Genus: Garcinia Species: cambogia) | 1,000 mg | Higher than 94% of 126 products listing hydroxycitric acid (median 500 mg). Per day at the most servings: 2,000 mg. | |
| Vanadyl Sulfate | 600 mcg | The label names the compound (Vanadyl Sulfate); its amount is likely the compound's weight, not the vanadium it holds, so it is not placed among other products. |
* % Daily Value computed from the printed amount and the FDA Daily Value (21 CFR 101.9); the label prints none for that row.

The Tolerable Upper Intake Level is the most of a nutrient per day, from food, water and supplements together, that is likely to pose no risk for almost all adults (Institute of Medicine, 2011). It does not apply under medical supervision. This page compares labels; it is not medical advice.

- Directions
- Suggested use Take 3 capsules with breakfast and 3 capsules with dinner. For superior results, take 12 capsules daily for at least 2 months or until fasting glucose level is under 120 mg/dl. Then reduce to 6 capsules daily for about 6 months. Some are then able to discontinue the formula totally, while others find that occasional use is best.
